課程 Topic:Creation of Concept arts for Hollywood

For this workshop, Jama will talk about the concept development pipeline he uses in Hollywood blockbuster movies. He will share about the power of leveraging using powerful tools like 3D-Coat to create quick 3D mock-ups that aids visual idealization, achieving realistic visuals of your work through the usage of software like Marmoset and Keyshot. And finally, he will show how to apply that final touch that brings additional believability and life into your design through the use of Photoshop.  

在這次的工作坊中,Jama 將與大家分享他製作好萊塢電影需求畫面時的工作過程。他有好些火力強大的 3D 工具們,例如怎麼運用3D-Coat 快速的建立立體模型以幫助想法的呈現,或者運用軟體 Marmoset and Keyshot 讓畫面的真實感更加有說服力。最後,他將以 Photoshop 做畫龍點睛的最後步驟,讓大家更了解如何在完稿前讓作品更上層樓!

How to stay unique & to create from chaos

Darek will talk about art styles that potential clients are attracted to. It is a concept designer’s job to think of unique design and through those works, inspires the production team with fresh ideas. He will share how to create art styles that are visible, attractive and works for both the Movie & Game industry while not looking just like another product off the mill. He will also demonstrate on how to generate quick and loose sketches to create ideas & effective storytelling. 

Darek 將在課程中介紹怎樣的作品風格最能讓客戶一眼就愛上。概念設計師的工作就是要創造出獨特的設計,透過這些先行的作品,激發製作團隊想出新的點子。Darek 將分享怎麼設計繪製出對電玩與電影產業來說是具有吸引力的作品,但又不會讓人感到被其他作品的影子籠罩。
他也會示範如何快速做出概念草稿,讓客戶更能理解整個作品理念與故事性的技巧。

We will bring challenges to them by having them create a single piece of artwork together. No rules & regulation, just them taking turns to bring a world to life, to see how they bring their difference & visions together to create something new out of this challenge.

在這段課程中,Kekai、Jama 和 Darek 將向大家介紹自己,並介紹他們的創作生涯與作品,展現他們的專業背景與個性。在這個單元中我們將給他們一個挑戰 - 三個人一起在現場創作ㄧ幅畫作!没有限制與規定,只是單純請他們輪替,合作將意念具象成作品,看大師們如何整合他們不同的看法和想法,一起在挑戰中創造!

In the first part of this session, we brought in Victor Sue of Texture Interactive from Singapore to talk about the marriage of technology and art to bring interactivity to the next level. From touch screen, AR/VR to holograms, the future is in the present. This is a talk when we can find our place as a concept artist in the ever-changing landscape of technology. 

The second part of this session, we invite the audiences to engage the speakers in a Q&A. From technology to design and to the future of concept art, please do not miss out this chance of getting more information out from these professionals. 

這個時段分為兩個部分,前半場我們邀請到了新加坡Texture 的執行長 Victor Sue 和大家分享怎麼透過互動科技與美術產業的合作讓這個新興產業更上一層樓。從觸碰式互動、AR / VR 到全息影像 (holograms),現下即是未來,在這技術快速變遷的時代,身在業界的我們將在此找到屬於我們的位置。

From our previous Workshop and feedback, nothing beats having experienced professionals reviewing our work and applying paint-overs to effectively show us where we missed out. It is also a good opportunity to see how these masters see our world through their vision. Perhaps to even open up new dimensions that we have never seen before.

從上一場工作坊的問卷中我們了解到,大家最期待的項目是,透過經驗豐富大師們的審圖與建議,直接有效率的讓我們了解到自己的作品缺少了甚麼。同時這也是個好機會,讓我們一窺這些大師們眼中的世界,開啟另一個從未觸及的新思維!
