Introduction

 

Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kekai has always had a passion for art. Finding the sunshine and beautiful scenery distracting he moved to dreary Seattle in 2000 to attend art school. After graduating he proceeded to attempt a career at doing art. This meant getting a job at ArenaNet, the makers of the Guild Wars franchise as a lowly texture artist. Through hard work and more than a little luck he was able to become a concept artist.

 

 

對藝術充滿熱情的 Kekai 出生並成長於夏威夷。2000年時,他離開充滿明媚陽光與美麗風景的夏威夷,來到了西雅圖並沉浸於藝術學校的生活。畢業後,他開始了藝術工作者的職業生涯 - 成為 ArenaNet的員工,並成為 Guild Wars 激戰遊戲美術創作團隊中基層的貼圖畫師。但在經過艱苦的努力與卓越的實力展現後Kekai 終於成為今日家喻戶曉的概念設計大師。

Kekai can still be found in Seattle. After 5 years as Lead Concept Artist on Guild Wars 2 and 8+ years total at ArenaNet, Kekai has left to go look for new endeavors and to work on his burgeoning illustration career. 

Additionally, he enjoys traveling the world and doing workshops demonstrating his process and thoughts about art.

如今,依舊可以在西雅圖找到 Kekai 的身影。在領導激戰2 的概念設計團隊五年 + 總共在  ArenaNet 工作八年之後,Kekai 開始尋找新的標竿並致力於個人美術創作。

此外,他享受在世界各地旅行和參加工作坊與大家分享他的繪畫技巧和對藝術的看法。

Introduction

 

My name is Darek Zabrocki and I am a concept artist and illustrator living in my hometown city of Gdansk, Poland. I specialise in making concepts and illustrations for the entertainment industry. 

I have worked on a wide range of projects from the video game and movie industries, such as Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Halo, Rigs, Horizon, Far Cry, Hansel and Gretel 2, and other movie projects that have not yet been announced... 

 

我是 Darek Zabrocki, 來自波蘭,家鄉位於格但斯克,一位專職於娛樂媒體產業與插畫的概念設計師。

我參與的作品包括了廣泛的電玩遊戲與電影專案。例如:刺客教條:梟雄、最後一戰、RIGS、地平線:期待黎明、極地戰嚎、女巫獵人 2 等電影製作。

近期將有許多電影製作也會陸續公佈。

I am also co-founder of Level Up! educational program that I run for over 2 years along with Wojtek Fus and Jonas De Ro.

兩年前,我與 Jonas De Ro 和 Wojtek Fus 一起創辦並主持 Level UP! 這個教學平台。

I love facing new challenges and constantly trying my best in the unknown. It helps me extend my horizons and gain indispensable experience that gives me an extra energy to do what I do everyday- art :). I also like experimenting and discovering new ways to improve the efficiency of my workflow, while still sticking to who I am and what I stand for.

我熱愛新的挑戰並且持續在未知的領域中盡全力衝刺。它開拓我的視野並因此得到寶貴的經驗。這些都幫助我擁有更多的精力專注於我每天做的事 - 美術創作 :)

Introduction

 

Jama Jurabaev is a renowned concept artist and professional matte painter working in the game and movie industry, with a talent that has given him opportunity to work on such movies as Avengers: Age of Ultron, X-men: Days of future past, Guardians of
the Galaxy and many others. His work has a realism & complexity that draws you into the scene.

Decided not to be an engineer, he started working as a junior graphic designer in a design studio where he spent two years there trying to learn as much as possible. In 2007, he started his own design studio at his brother’s advertising agency and by 2011, he was art-directing a dozen very talented designers and illustrators there.

In his spare time he constantly trying to improve his drawing and painting skills, which was more like a hobby for him.

Jama Jurabaev - 著名的遊戲與電影業界美術概念設計師和專業接景圖畫家,他參予過電影復仇者聯盟 2,X戰警:未來昔日,星際異攻隊等等。他的作品融合了真實感與豐富的元素,引領觀眾進入超現時的場景。

在決定不成為一名工程師後,一開始他在一家設計工作室兩年,努力學習成為平面設計師。2007年時,他在哥哥的廣告公司裡開始了自己的設計工作室。2011年時,他已領導十多位才華洋溢的設計師與插畫家。

在閒暇時,他總是不斷地努力提升自己的繪畫技巧,對他來說這已經成為他的興趣。

He received an offer from MPC (London) to join their team as a matte painter / concept artist. In late 2012, he moved to London and worked at MPC for two years. He later joined Framestore
as a senior concept artist working on feature films. He had a lot of up and downs throughout his career, but he just kept going. 

Nothing was easy, but he believed in himself, hard work
and support from others did the rest.

在收到來自 MPC(倫敦)接景與概念設計師的工作邀約後,2012年末,他移居倫敦,並在 MPC工作了兩年。後來,加入了 Framestore 並成為電影的概念設計師。在他的職業生涯中充滿了起起伏伏,但他總是能奮勇向前。
